McLean, Va.–June 27, 2011–Cognosante, LLC (www.cognosante.com) announced today the appointment of Sean M. Gallagher as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Gallagher will have overall responsibility for the operation of the Company’s legal and contracts departments.  In this position he will provide legal advice on a wide array of substantives areas impacting the Company and its subsidiaries including acquisitions, corporate governance, government contracting, labor/employment, litigation, intellectual property, benefits and real estate. “I am extremely pleased to welcome Sean to the Cognosante executive team,” said Michele Kang, Chief Executive Officer. “His legal, analytical and business experience will be invaluable to us. Earlier in his career, Mr. Gallagher practiced as a corporate finance and securities attorney at the law firms of Hogan & Hartson LLP (now Hogan Lovells LLP) and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in Washington, D.C.
