Cognosante Names Jean-Marc Edier as Vice President of Federal Programs

MCLEAN, Va.–September 13, 2011–Cognosante, a leading provider of healthcare IT to state and federal governments and regional health organizations, announces the appointment of Jean-Marc Edier as Vice President of Federal Programs. He oversaw the delivery and management of IT solutions for the company’s healthcare program management efforts. Previously, Mr. Edier served as Director of Operations for the Public Sector Healthcare Group at CGI Federal, a global information technology firm, where he led teams supporting the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. While in this role, he managed operations across 19 projects representing more than $75 million in revenues. Concurrently, Mr. Edier served as Program Manager at CGI Federal for the Health Plan Management System Program for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which he grew from an original contract value of $12 million to $45 million. In addition, he oversaw the first implementation at CMS of .NET applied to a key Medicare system, among other accomplishments.
