Thomas Stepka is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Cognosante. He is a proven leader with strong business and financial expertise, corporate strategy and operational skills combined with an excellent understanding of people. He has extensive experience in financial management, business restructuring and process re-engineering, leading to improved financial results. Tom's expertise spans development of business strategy and plans, internal and external strategic partnerships, pipeline management, strategic and operational planning, marketing software solutions and applications as well as financial planning, analysis and reporting.
Before joining Cognosante, Tom served as a Senior Executive of Finance at Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., a Xerox Company. He led the financial operations for the Municipal Solutions, the Local Enterprise Solutions and the Transportation Group each with over $300M in revenues. Prior to that, he was a key member of the management team at Integic, the 2004 GovCon Midsize Government Contractor of the Year, which was acquired by Northrop Grumman in 2005. Prior to Integic, he held management positions at CACI and Unisys.
Tom graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and earned a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.
