Cognosante was founded in 2008 by Michele Kang, an entrepreneur on the vanguard of healthcare information solutions. Armed with her expertise in HIE and HIT, and with her eye on the future of healthcare transformation in the US, Ms. Kang joined forces with Susan Fox, founder and longtime President of Fox Systems, a leader in Medicaid, HIPAA, and the Medicaid Information Technology Architecture. In January of 2010, Cognosante and Fox Systems merged to create one powerhouse brand. In July 2011, Fox Systems officially changed its name to Cognosante.
