JOB DESCRIPTION
The RAC Project Manager will provide complex project management and information technology consulting services to various clients. Project management activities will include managing and directing the day-to-day activities and project delivery for multiple RAC projects. This includes managing the client interface, contract scope, project schedule, project cost, delivery risk, and sub-contract status for small to medium size integrated teams of staff and independent consulting professionals. He/she will be required to apply PMI methodologies and enforce team use of industry best practices.
Additional duties include:
Manage daily activities, hours of work and place of work of all consultants and contractors assigned to projects in accordance with the approved project work plan
Monitor status of all project tasks and deliverables and advise senior management of any significant variations
Monitor project budgets and advise senior management of any significant variations
Report as required on the client contacts and expectations of clients
Identify and documents deficiencies and dysfunctionality in existing clinical, financial or business processes and information systems
Develop alternatives for solutions to problems and, where appropriate, assists in implementing improved or new business processes or automated systems
Collect, document, and analyze information concerning clients’ current clinical, financial or business processes and information systems
Define, test, and implement solutions to business and systems problems
Assist in identifying new business opportunities and in developing and presenting proposals to prospective clients
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to manage a team of consultants
Ability to interface with the client regularly
Ability to oversee all project tasks and deliverables
Proficiency in Word, Excel and Access – MS Project is a plus
Must have excellent communication, problem-solving and customer service skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree (M.A., MBA) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
