Over its 25 year history, Cognosante has supported major health IT initiatives including the largest electronic health record system and the first nationwide health information network for federal customers (NwHIN Direct). We pioneered the Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) for CMS which today is the national Medicaid architecture standard. Additionally, we currently are a major contributor to building the federal health insurance exchange known as the Federally Facilitated Exchange (FFE).
