JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Business Analyst will provide information technology consulting services to clients through the following duties:
- Collect, document and analyze information concerning system-related business processes and information technologies
- Lead the delivery, production and operational readiness of systems
- Review Medicaid Fiscal Agent deliverables
- Assess and document operational readiness
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Minimum of 8 years of MMIS operations or implementation experience
- Knowledge of federal and state healthcare programs (i.e., Medicaid, CHIP) and related eligibility/enrollment principles, and claims data
- Experience contributing to and managing the planning and execution activities for the following SDLC phases:
- Systems analysis and requirements definition
- Systems design (functional)
- Integration and functional verification
- Validation, installation and deployment
- Maintenance and operation support
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience as business/system analyst or lead analyst involved in mid- or large-scale system development projects
- Experience with data analysis techniques, data modeling and data management tools (i.e., MS Excel, SQL language, relational databases)
- Experience with Medicaid Provider Relations and Training
- Understanding of Section 508 guidelines
- Experience with CMMI practices and operating principles
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university
MMIS operational or implementation experience
