Cognosante Hires Robert Norcross as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

MCLEAN, VA. – May 22, 2014 – Cognosante, a leading provider of Consulting, Technology, and BPO services to healthcare organizations, has announced the hiring of Robert Norcross as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. In this role, Mr. Norcross will look to drive organic and non-organic growth at Cognosante through the establishment of new product/service offerings, partnerships, and corporate combinations.

Rob is a seasoned strategy and development executive, with over 30 years of experience developing new sources of revenue growth. He sports a rich background working with leading information technology and business process outsourcing companies, including IBM Global Business Services, Convergys Corporation, and Capgemini.  He has also led product planning and development for the Comcast Corporation.  Earlier in his career, Rob served as a Partner with Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman) and with Booz-Allen Hamilton.

Rob’s leadership of diverse developmental initiatives has resulted in the creation of over 50 new products, businesses, and strategic alliances, yielding new revenue streams of up to $300 million, cost savings of up to $100 million, and M&A transactions worth up to $50 billion.

Rob received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).  He was also awarded an M.S. degree in Management from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
