Cognosante’s Sean Gallagher Named a Trending 40 Top Corporate Counsel in Washington, D.C.


MCLEAN, Va. –September 22, 2016 – Cognosante announced today that Sean Gallagher, its executive vice president and chief legal officer, was named to the 2016 Trending 40 Top DC Corporate Counsel list. The annual awards program recognizes the best in-house lawyers in Washington, D.C. who lead corporations and non-profits.

Prior to joining Cognosante, Sean was vice president and deputy general counsel at Stanley Inc., an NYSE-listed provider of information technology services and solutions to U.S. defense, intelligence, and civilian Federal agencies. Earlier in his career, he practiced as a corporate finance and securities attorney in Washington, D.C., at the law firms of Hogan & Hartson LLP (now Hogan Lovells LLP) and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Sean also serves as an arbitrator on the Attorney/Client Arbitration Board of the D.C. Bar Association and is a member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court.
